EMPOWER: A DEIB-Driven LXD Framework

As we founded our new company, The Arch Learning Design Studio, we wanted Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) to be more than just something stated as part of our mission, but rather the core value driving how we operate and design the most effective and empowering learning. We invested our experience and expertise in developing our own DEIB-driven learning experience design framework powered by the principles of DEIB throughout the entire design process rather than an afterthought, add-on, or worse an empty statement.

In our decades of experience in learning design, we’ve seen an increasing importance of DEI in design; however, we believe DEIB needs to be a driving priority throughout the entirety of the design process. Our hope is that by developing and sharing The Arch Learning Design Studio’s: EMPOWER: A DEIB-Driven LXD Framework with the industry, it will raise awareness and support others’ efforts to effectively prioritize DEIB in their learning experience design.
